Coagulation Cascade

How we helped a medical communications agency explain anticoagulation to HCPs.

Turning cascade complexity into clinical clarity

The brief

Explain the coagulation cascade to HCPs.
Visually distinguish competing anticoagulant drug classes.
Support Factor Xa inhibition clinical adoption.

The result

Deployed as a core HCP education asset
Scientifically validated animation ready for rep and congress use.
Reusable modular content for professional audiences.

From clot formation to targeted drug action.
Fusion used a macro-to-micro medical animation to walk HCPs through the coagulation cascade and each anticoagulant's point of action.
Colour-coded 3D models made the "lock-and-key" binding of Factor Xa inhibitors and direct thrombin inhibitors visually distinct and immediately comparable - giving clinicians a clear framework for understanding how newer oral anticoagulants differ from older agents like warfarin and heparin.

Simplified Pharmacological Narratives

By mapping the full coagulation cascade and showing exactly where each drug class acts, this animation gave HCPs a single, accurate visual reference for a therapeutic area where mechanistic clarity directly influences prescribing confidence.
